"Think Pink" benefit meet 2010
Today was our annual "Think Pink" optional girls gymnastics meet to benefit the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. This meet was started last year after my grandmother passed away from breast cancer. I had so much adoration for my grandmother. She could do almost anything and she did it well. I wanted to start something that not only meant something to me but could make a difference in someone else's life.
The meet this year was bigger and better than last year and we've already stated planning for next year. I want to tell everyone who was on the committee and who helped make this meet a great success THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!! I appreciate all your efforts and support. May we continue to be a strength in the fight against cancer!

Think Pink
In 2008 Hanna Marie Christensen (my grandmother) died of Breast Cancer. I have been competing and coaching in gymnastics for about 26 years now. When she passed I wanted to start a benefit gymnastics meet to honor and remember her by and to also be able to help in some small way in breast cancer research and awareness! I wanted to work with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation and host a "Think Pink" girls gymnastics meet and donate all the proceeds directly to them! We have held this special meet the last 3 years and every year we have been able to donate more. I am SO very grateful for the women who I have been able to work with and to all those who have donated to this great cause. I love gymnastics, I love what it teaches the girls, and most of all I love watching them meet their goals and accomplish their dreams. Think Pink is one of many dreams of mine and I will continue to stive to make it a success! Janene Lay
